RBI issues final Credit Derivatives Directions, 2026 (press release of 25 June 2026)

Taxmann reports that the RBI issued the Master Direction on Reserve Bank of India (Credit Derivatives) Directions, 2026 (press release 2026-2027/550, dated 25 June 2026), pursuant to the Union Budget 2026-27 and the 6 February 2026 policy statement.
The final Directions, after draft directions of 6 February 2026, facilitate credit index derivatives and total return swaps on corporate bonds, expanding the credit derivatives market.

Digital India completes 11 years: Rs 1.64 lakh crore approved across 12 semiconductor projects

Amit Shah launches Bharat Taxi for Gujarat from Gandhinagar

PIB said Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah launched Bharat Taxi for Gujarat from Gandhinagar on 27 June 2026, with services beginning in major cities including Ahmedabad, Surat and Rajkot across two-wheeler, auto and four-wheeler categories.
The release says more than 7 lakh 'Sarathis' are associated with Bharat Taxi, whose drivers are also its owners, in line with the 'Sahakar Se Samriddhi' mantra. It states that in the next two years Bharat Taxi will reach more than 500 cities and towns, and that before 31 July it will be available in 7 major cities.
