Finance Minister Sitharaman's Qatar visit for the 11th AIIB Annual Meeting
PIB announced on 27 September 2026 that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will make an official visit to Qatar from 27 to 29 September 2026. She will attend the 11th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), scheduled in Doha on 28 September 2026, as India's Governor to the AIIB.
PIB said India is the second largest shareholder of the bank. The Minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the AIIB President and counterparts from Jordan, Switzerland, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Nepal. This edition reports the announced schedule only.
