RBI announces Rs 24,000 crore Treasury Bill auction for 15 July 2026

This item is carried forward from 10 July 2026. The RBI announced the auction of 91-day (Rs 9,000 crore), 182-day (Rs 8,000 crore) and 364-day (Rs 7,000 crore) Treasury Bills, a total notified amount of Rs 24,000 crore, with the auction on 15 July 2026 and settlement on 16 July 2026.
State Governments, UTs with legislature, eligible Provident Funds, designated Foreign Central Banks and others specified by the RBI can bid non-competitively outside the notified amount, and individuals can participate as retail investors.

Lakhanpur among first towns selected under PM SVANidhi Street Food Hub plan

PIB said Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh disclosed on 11 July 2026 the Government's decision to approve a 'Street Food Hub' at Lakhanpur in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, under the PM SVANidhi initiative, as one of the first towns approved.
He thanked the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for including the Lakhanpur proposal in the first batch, and said the decision comes during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and will benefit pilgrims, tourists and local vendors.
